Little Roots Pediatrics is a membership-based practice. Your monthly or annual family membership allows access to all of our services. We do not bill any insurance or any federal or state programs. We only bill patients directly.
Why we don't take insurance:
We offer child-centered care with the understanding that the variables that contribute to optimal health are interconnected. This is incongruent with insurance models that presume that each part of the body, symptom, or diagnosis can be broken down into a billable code. With a direct care model, we are able to offer our patients comprehensive care plans, from health assessment to planning without the constraints of billing and coding which takes away from the focus of care: your child.
- For all members, we offer 24/7 access to your physician via direct communication. Same or next-day appointment in-person/telehealth, health consultations for health concerns while you're out of town, well checks, sick and acute visits, follow-up appointments, and communication to ensure that your child is improving and progressing well.
- Our memberships are offered monthly or annually, with the enrollment fee waived when you join annually.
- For newborns, we offer a one-year Baby-at-Home package that provides additional four at-home visits at your request, allowing new parents time to settle in at their home with their new baby and flexibility.
Having Little Roots as our concierge pediatrician has been an incredible experience from start to finish. Dr. Shi and Tran are everything you could hope for—responsive, kind, and genuinely caring. Nurse Tran is absolutely amazing! I would recommend little roots pediatrics to everyone. If you enjoy having the choice, and open discussions with your doctor then this is the place for you and your child. She’s been there for us in emergency situations after hours, has seen our son at the spur of the moment because we were worried. I can’t say enough good things about little roots and Tran!
